Wow! I haven't bogged in a loonnngggg time! I'm sorry! :-)

Basically what I've been doing is...
went to Colorado over spring break...visited my aunt and uncle...visited a friend and went skiing!!!
ummm....tennis lessons....baby-sat...
was sick for a loonngg time with strep and could not hardly talk at all for a couple of days...
hmm...thas pretty much it, I mean, for now.

I was reading the Bible the other day, and I like this Psalm. Its about thankfulness, which sometimes we forget. :-/ I will bold and italic the verses that I think are the most important...

THE PLAY...

So...Moriah, Brooke and me, all had an audition for a play called "Modern Millie" for a school play on Monday afternoon. We had to sing a song and read a script, not to hard, but I was really nervous!
Luckily, we all made it in! We are all 'Female Moderns'...

DWARF HAMSTERS...

So last weekend, we (that's Brooke, Marijke and me) went to PET SMART and got "Fancy Dwarf Hamsters".
Moriah got a "Chinese Dwarf Hamster" at TONI'S TROPICAL PETS..her name is MayFlower. May for short. She acts normal.
Then, Brooke's is MaryGold (Probably Mary for short). She is so calm!
Marijke's is Lou...Lou for short. :-) She acts normal too.
Next comes Skitts. Mine. Skitts is normal...ish. She is so wild! Anyway, 'Skitts' is short for SKITTLES. Yumm! :-) Don't worry, I won't eat her.

FUN FACTS...

Marijke!!

Well....on the 9th of August, we went to the Cedar Rapids Airport and waited for Marijke's plan to land. Well, it wasn't quite the 20min. wait that we planned for it to be. Apparently her fight was delayed for over an hour long wait...

Colorado Trip!!

two days after Marijke came-so the 9th-we went to Colorado to see my aunt and uncle-plus their dog :)-and the beautiful mountains. on the way there, we got stuck in construction. So...instead of a 12 hour drive...it was a 14 hour drive. Yippie. We spent 1 night at our relatives , and 5 or 6 nights at a friends condo near a beautiful, huge mountain. After a couple nights, they came over to go on a 12 mile bike ride with us. That was awesome! Ugh. We went 6 miles, stopped and ate lunch, and then the 6 miles back. Now my least favorite word is UP.

Moriah's and my Birthday...

Our birthday is on the 19th! Yay! We are having a 3 hour party with 5 friends.

Uncles Wedding

Our uncle is getting married on the 21st! We are heading up there the 20th and spending 2 nights at a hotel.

About tree hours ago...Moriah and I got back from a great week at Spring Valley Bible Camp. On Sunday around three o'clock we arrived. We were in the 7th and 8th group, just to let you know. On Tuesday-Friday, here was our schedule:

7am Wake Up
7:50am Flag Raising
8am Breakfast
8:30am Cabin Clean-Up
9am Chapel & Devotions
10:30am Sports & Games
11:45am Free Time
12pm Lunch
1pm Activities
2pm Free Time/Swimming/Canteen

I don't remember what's at 11pm, but that;s probably because I was asleep.:)
On Friday morning we got picked up at 9am.
On Thursday night at chapel, we had an emotional night, everyone was crying and sniffing and about half of the people got saved!!
All together, it was a great week with my friend at camp, and a great week with Jesus Christ.

Orchestra Trip to Six Flags

On Saturday, Moriah and I went to Six Flags in Illinois with our Orchestra.
We had to leave at 6:30 on the bus, and then we got at the place where we would play orchestra ( around 11am ).
After that, we went to Six Flags!!
It was so fun! I went on 5 different roller coasters, and I went 2 different rides.
Then we went home at 6pm and finally arrived here around 11:30pm.
Did I mentioned we got rained and hailed on at Six Flags!!!
But all together, it was super fun!!

Ground Squirrel.. in the house!!!!!

Yesterday, Dad came home and found a ground squirrel in the den. So when Dad and Brooke were looking for a net, Moriah had the idea of letting the cats inside. So we did. Each time the cats caught it, the ground squirrel would fake dead, so one time, when it was faking, Dad smacked it with a shovel.

OK, well I can't open the pictures that I wanted to, but the other day, there was a snake in the yard!
It was was orange-ish colored and it was medium on size.
So Dad got a shovel and TRIED to kill it... the shovel was not sharp enough and the snake ended up with a broken neck.
Then I think the cats ate it or something.

On Friday, Moriah, Brooke and I went to a birthday party at the Coralrigde ice skating thingamajig and that was really fun!

We had ITBS last week on Tues.-Thurs. and that was not pleasant. On Tuesday it was OK, then on Wednesday we had the math thingy that was 12 (??) minutes long and there were like....30-40 problems!!! UGH Plus, Case was at Grandma's house Mon.-Thurs! But he LOVES Grandma's house.

The Awesome Colorado Trip!!!!

Hello!

We had a long trip to Colorado this week. We left on Jan. 1 at 5:15 am! We all felt like we were going to throw up because we were at a friends house the night before. So we had to pick up our Aunt, Uncle, and our cousins. So then we made the long 12 hour journey to Denver, CO ( I do not know the zip code ).
Then we spent the night at our other Aunt and Uncle's. Then the next morning at 6:00 am Colorado time, we left to the 2 hour trip to Ski Cooper, and the skiing was awesome!! But..... the chairlift was slow. Anyway, I only fell 1 time the 1st day, 0 times the second day, and 2 times on the last day. But altogether, it was worth 12 hours there and 12 hours back, PLUS waiting in Denver traffic for... I don't remember and having to go to the bathroom for 2, very, very, very long hours. Then we can back on Jan. 6 all through the night. Then we got a very good sleep and the next morning, we went and left to our Opa's house. And here we are. We just got back from his house, and now I have to go to the bathroom really bad! So bye!!

Honor and Justice Report

This is one of my reports for school. The question is, Is honor more important than Justice or is justice more important than honor?

Honor and Justice

Is honor is more important than justice? Or is justice more important than honor? Is respect is more important than fairness, or is fairness is more important than respect? Micah 6:8 says,” Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” The instruction is this paragraph is justice, or fairness. The ‘Do justice’ means to do what is right. According to my Grandpa, if one honors the Creator, one will receive justice, and to earn honor, one must do justice,According to my Uncle Darrel, justice is more important than honor because God is just. My Grandma mentioned Psalms 8:5, which says God has crowned men with glory and honor. She said, “We need both, and God provides both." According to my Aunt Diane, honor is more important than justice because if someone id honorable, justice as well as many other attributes should follow. Honor would allow for mercy and grace as well as justice. Aunt Diane sees honor as a broader attribute exhibited many ways. In my opinion, honor is more important than justice because God is just, just is God’s job, and our job is to honor him.

Sorry I'm not updating my blog a lot, it's because my camera is having problems.

Anyway, at Central Middle School, where Moriah and I go part time, some people that work at the School Board said we can't have any more orchestra om Mondays because our teacher needs to work with the 5th graders and theur instruments. Well, the 7th and 8th grade orchestra students are compaining about it ( Whitch I agree with ). So, the 8th graders are making a movie about how orchestra is so important and all, while we ( 7th graders ) are writing letters to the School Board. My mom helped us write a letter to the School Board, and one paragraph said something like this:

When the old high school teacher was still here, she taught both 5th graders and the high school students. She taught the 5th graders afer school lesson. Why can't the new high school teacher do the same? Or if there is any "Sceduale C " money, then higher a new teacher and she can do the after school lessons.

Anyway, that's how that paragraph went.

Oh! Speaking about orchestra, Brooke got a cello a week ago!! It looks very small compared to my bass.

And I have good grades on orchestra amd math!! :)

Um... I'm doing, well, finished a report on the question ' Do you belive in Fate? So if you want to tell me what you think about that question, please write a comment on that!! Thanks.

My cousin came last weekend from Minnisoda! He is so funny. We went to a friend's house and shot- well, my cousin, me and Moriah one gun- and my parenrs and uncle shot my cousin's gun. WOW! Guns are supper loud!! I was deaf afterwords!!! But, it was fun. And my Dad bought the hanheld gun that I got to shoot.

So... my sisters, brother, dad and me ( so everyone except my mom) got back from Mason City last night!!
Moriah and I just got back from school though! Math is easy!! We learned most of it last year. So that's probably why it is so very easy!!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday!!! : ) We went out to Culver's for Ice cream after my mom came home from her dad's.
Case wanted vanilla ice cream from a cone instead of vanilla ice cream in a cup.

Today, well, tonight, we went to our grandparents house. I took some pictures of some goldfinches, but I haven't downloaded them to the computer yet.

The picture to the right, is Case looking at a movie of him one mom's phone. He loves Movies.

When we were in the car today, he wanted to watch this one movie, but it wasn't in the car.
